INTRODUCTION:

The entire book of Revelation has been building up to this chapter, the long-awaited return of Jesus Christ is quickly approaching.  God’s judgment on the earth is nearly complete with the seventh bowl of wrath having been poured out and the city of Babylon destroyed forever.  All that is left is for Jesus Christ to completely destroy those who oppose Him.  The scene in Revelation 19 shifts from earth where John has been viewing the judgment of Babylon, to heaven where a great celebration is taking place.

INTRODUCTION:

Two Sundays ago in honor of our mothers we took a detour from the book of Revelation and looked at another letter written by the apostle John to a godly mother and her children.  2 John was written prior to John’s imprisonment on the island of Patmos where he received the visions he has recorded for us in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

INTRODUCTION:

Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers, thank you for joining us on your special day.  A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I was going to continue in Revelation today or if I would have a special message for Mother’s Day.  Rather than preach on the seven bowls of God’s wrath which is where we are in Revelation, I think it is appropriate for us to honor our mothers this morning with a special message.

INTRODUCTION:

This morning we will finish up Revelation 14 by looking at the last seven verses.  I have mentioned several times that the theme of this chapter is the ultimate triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We will see that again this morning as we look at the judgments in our passage.
