In just a few days 2025 will pass away and 2026 will begin. I could not leave 2025 and enter into 2026 without speaking to you about my favorite subject, the event that I anticipate more than anything else in the world, the event Paul calls the blessed hope in his letter to Titus.

As I said last Sunday, 2nd Thessalonians 2 is doctrinal as Paul seeks to clear up a false doctrine that had crept into the church in Thessalonica. This false teaching was that the Day of the Lord was already here causing confusion and fear in the hearts of the Thessalonian believers. They began to believe that they had missed the Rapture and were living in the judgment of the Day of the Lord.
